Pretty simple but if you haven't looked at your battery in a couple years, might want to do this well known procedure.
Remove battery and apply a mixture of baking soda and water to battery terminals and positive and negative lead wires. Rinse terminals with water after the baking soda solution stops foaming. This is the third winter I am going into storing the 14 and I see the negative terminal is pretty crusty. Positive not bad but I did that one and the + & - connectors.

Everything should make good contact. Battery is still working fine and holds a charge for a long time.
